Cocoa

We began with the commercialization of CACAO, as a result of the phenomenon of the child of the year 2015, several of our associates had both crops and the strong summer in low marginal areas ended with the cultivation of coffee, so we began to buy cocoa from those producers to avoid to leave the organization.

Currently they have clients in the USA, Switzerland, France, Australia, Germany, and Belgium.

In 2021, second place was obtained in the CACAO DE ORO DE COLOMBIA CONTEST and FIRST PLACE AS INCLUSIVE AND SUSTAINABLE CACAO.

It is an educational program on coffee quality, created by ASOPEP, in 2017. Through this program, producers have been trained for 5 years in fermentation, drying, physical and sensory analysis processes. With the support of the projects presented to the MULTIDONATING FUND FOR THE SUSTAINABILITY OF PEACE IN COLOMBIA, producers from the NASA WESH indigenous reservation in Gaitania and PEACE signatories from the village of OSO in Gaitania Tolima have been trained.
